The Break Up
For a short-term gain, they forgot about the long-term friendship you built,
They were okay with never seeing your face again and showed no sense of guilt.
They did something to wrench a long term friendship and hurt your emotions,
The emotions that you thought would matter but they ignored your devotion.
They did something that you would never have done to an enemy or a stranger person,
To save your feelings or even to save your long-term bond, they had no reason.
They didn’t think twice before stepping out of the circle of you two,
They never considered you special and they will hurt your expectations, you never knew.
Intentions are what matter at the end and not actions,
You kept on falling for their actions but never dreamt that this would be the reaction.
