Let it become a memory.
Let it go and let it become a mindful memory for you,
Let it go and let it become what it was meant to.
Today or tomorrow, it had to become a memory you knew,
Come out of the gone days and let your life continue.
Your future is the limitless blue sky of hopes and aspirations,
But your past is a dark, deep pitfall of gloom and limitations.
The future is almost like a cool breeze; it holds dreams and passion, pushing you to wake up and encouraging you to do what’s right,
Your past holds a collection of various memories, which may sometimes not let you leave your bed, and sometimes won’t let you sleep at night.
Close your eyes and look back at the days gone by, and say, “Thanks for the lessons and for making me a better version.”
Open your arms and feel the breeze coming, bringing you more memories to make, and say, “I am ready for yet another memory creation.”

- “dark, deep pitfall”: Repetition of the 'd' sound to create a rhythmic effect.
5. Imagery:
- “limitless blue sky of hopes and aspirations”: Evokes a vivid image of an expansive, hopeful future.
- “dark, deep pitfall of gloom and limitations”: Creates a strong visual image of a challenging and restrictive past.
6. Contrast:
- “The future” vs. “Your past”: Highlights the differences between the hopeful, expansive future and the challenging, restrictive past.
7. Imperative Mood:
- “Close your eyes”, “Open your arms”: Uses commands to engage the reader and create a sense of action and involvement.
8. Rhetorical Question:
- Although not explicitly present, the poem implies rhetorical questions through its reflective nature, prompting the reader to think about their own experiences and the contrasts between past and future.
